Sudheera Dissanayake

Western Sydney, Australia
sudflower-chain

Sudheera Dissanayake, also known as sudjuice, is a Sydney-based artist whose work is shaped by his Sri Lankan heritage, Buddhist philosophy, and transcendental inquiry. Working primarily in painting and drawing, his practice explores impermanence, memory, and the relationship between the inner self and the natural world through expressive abstraction.

Drawing inspiration from landscapes, meditation, and lived experience, Dissanayake creates works that balance intuition with careful observation. His paintings often emerge through an open-ended process, allowing forms to dissolve and reappear, reflecting cycles of transformation, renewal, and interconnectedness.

Dissanayake is the founder of Little Umbrella Collective, an organisation championing artists with disability through exhibitions, mentoring, and creative opportunities. His broader practice reflects an interest in art as a vehicle for connection and self-discovery.

His work has been exhibited across Australia and continues to evolve through residencies, collaborations, and an ongoing dialogue between culture, spirituality, and contemporary abstraction.
